NAMA Annual Foray | Lafayette, LA | November 26-29, 2009

NAMA’s very first foray in the state of Louisiana is set in the city of Lafayette, November 26–29, 2009. The Gulf States Mycological Society will treat us to the fascinating and colorful culture of Acadiana and the experience of this unique section of our country. Download the registration form.

Wildacres Regional Foray | Wildacres, North Carolina | September 24-27, 2009

Juan Mata, PhD, from the University of South Alabama, will serve as foray mycologist. Dr. Mata did his doctoral studies at the University of Tennessee — he is very familiar with the fungal floral of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Gulf States Summer Foray | Hillsdale, MS | July 10-12, 2009

The GSMS Summer Foray will be held at King’s Arrow Ranch Inn, at Hillsdale MS, north of Poplarville. Guest Mycologist will be Dr. Rod Tulloss, a specialist on the genus Amanita, and we will host Paul Scott as our graduate student. Field trips will go to nearby National Forests. Cost for the weekend is $272/double or $184/single. Registration is now open. More information is available on the GSMS website.

NMMS 2009 Foray | Taos, New Mexico | August 20-25, 2009

NMMS 2009 Foray will be August 20-25 at the Best Western Kachina Lodge in Taos, NM. Registration is now open. If you need information, email Libba Campbell for more info at any time. This year's foray will feature a vouchering program this year for the first time, with microscopy and vouchering on the 23rd and 24th, and on the 25th if necessary. Foray mycologist is Vera Evenson.
